Let me begin by saying that you are all winners in my book. But this isn’t my book and in this book only one of you is the winner and that winner is Lynn C.H. It was a real barnburner, too. Lynn just squeaked past runner-up Cindy by a 2% margin. So hats off to Cindy as well for her strong showing.

But as I lift the imaginary crown from its invisible pillow, I can only place it on one virtual head. And that head is Lynn’s.

So join me, dear readers, as we raise our voices to the sky and sing the praises of Lynn and her caption. Let it be known from this day forward that Lynn is, forever and always, our September Caption Contest Winner! Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!

Caption Contest: Constitution Day Edition

That’s right, kids! Today is Constitution Day in the United States. The day we commemorate the signing of our Constitution. Why not take a break from memorizing the preamble, making a diorama of the Constitutional Convention and reading up on the lives of famous delegates Rufus King, Charles Cotesworth Pinckney and Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer, and submit a caption for our September Caption Contest!

Take a gander at the illustration below (once again provided by the talented hand and fevered mind of our own Nate Simpson) and add your caption in the comments. We’ll pick our three favorites later this week and then put the finalists up for a vote. Democracy in action!
