New Bejeweled Apps for the iOS!

Good news for Bejeweled fans today! Or at least those with Apple devices!

We have just launched two apps in the iTunes App Store for your Match-3 pleasure: Bejeweled Blitz, and Bejeweled.

Bejeweled Blitz is a FREE, updated version of our ever-popular one-minute action puzzler. Formerly, you got Blitz when you paid for Bejeweled 2, but as of today we’ve made a standalone app free to all. Yes, you can buy coins just as before, which would certainly make our bean counters happy, but you can also just play it for free for the rest of your life, without ever giving us a single dime. We will only resent you a little.

The second app now available on iTunes is simply called Bejeweled, and it costs you $.99. That’s just about the cost of a candy bar these days. But our game will last a lot longer and not give you cavities or make you fat. Unless all you do is eat candy bars while playing Bejeweled. Then you might get fat. But we’re not taking the blame for that. Sorry.

Here’s what you get in the brand new Bejeweled for iOS:

* Three game modes: Classic, Zen and the super-fun Diamond Mine mode from Bejeweled 3.
* High-res graphics and retina display support
* A whole pile of badges to earn
* The tantalizing promise of all new features and modes to come in future updates

We imagine you might have some questions for us about these new apps. Some of them might already be answered here. But without making you click, we can tell any of you concerned current-or-former Bejeweled 2 players that your game is not going away. You can still play Bejeweled 2 to your heart’s content, and if you delete it or don’t have it backed up on iTunes, you can still redownload it through iTunes. (If you’re not sure how to do that, check the instructions here. ) The only thing you can’t do now is buy Bejeweled 2 new if you’ve never previously purchased it. But you know what? The new one is better anyway! So you shouldn’t worry about it!

If you have more questions, though, feel free to ask them in the comments below, and we’ll be happy to answer them!

Happy Match-3ing, everyone!
